Dave has spent his career focused on automating water and wastewater facilities, with experience on both sides of the industry, as a Consulting Engineer and Owner’s Representative, and on the system integration and construction side. His background spans engineering and construction, management, sales, and marketing on plant automation and controls, SCADA, security, electrical distribution, communications, and information technology projects.
Dave is recognized as a leader in the water and wastewater automation industry. He led development of the WaterISAC (www.waterisac.org), a federally funded, high-security web service that disseminates security threat information across the water industry, and is co-author of Costs and Benefits of Complete Water Treatment Plant Automation and The Business Case for Automation chapter in WEF’s Manual of Practice 21 (4th & 5th editions), and author of the Process Controls and Instrumentation chapter in Water Treatment Plant Design (4th & 5th editions).
